How to Cook Steak in a Stainless Steel Pan

In the YouTube video above by Insider Reviews, executive chef Anthony Vitolo shares some tips on how to cook the perfect steak in a stainless steel pan. 


Steps:

  1. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper
  2. Put the pan over medium to high heat for a few minutes
  3. Melt 3-4 tbsp. of butter
  4. Add the steak and let it sear – do not touch the steak and let it develop its crust
  5. Flip the steak after 2-3 minutes (for medium-rare)
  6. Drizzle the cooked side of the steak with the melted butter
  7. Check the tenderness by pressing the steak
