If you've run out of merienda ideas or already tried the whole menu of your go-to pizza parlor, why not whip up your own homemade pizza? You can start by trying this simple pizza dough recipe by Chef Tatung of Simpol Channel and sprinkle it with your favorite toppings.


What You'll Need:

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup flour (for kneading)

Procedure:

  1. To start making the dough, combine flour, water, and yeast altogether and mix them thoroughly until it turns into a lumpy and thick consistency.
  2. Once you've achieved the said consistency, you can proceed by adding the salt and olive oil into the mixture and then let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle some more flour into the mixture to prevent it from sticking to the container and table. Afterward, let it sit for another 1 hour.
  4. After letting the dough rest for an hour, you can start kneading it until it flattens.
  5. Prepare a pizza pan where you can place the dough and smear the pan with oil and mold the dough in it.
  6. Once the dough is settled in the pan, smear it with more oil and prick holes in it using a fork.
  7. Bake the dough for 10 minutes over 220 degrees celsius.
